Motorcycle Classifieds
Motorcycle Classifieds are one of the cheapest ways to source a new or second hand motorcycle. All you need is a bit of time and patience so
grab a beer and get comfortable. Before you start looking for motorcycle classifieds however, I really would suggest that you read my tips in
the Motorcycle Buying Guide as well on the tips on Buying Used
Motorcycles as they cover the basics and are kind of like the "how not to get ripped off guides!"
There are a number of places that you can find motorcycle wanted ads:
The Internet
There are many Web sites that offer free motorcycle ads. Check out the following list for recommended sites:
- Bike Trader
You can search new and used adverts. It is very simple to use, with a location specification and a dealers directory. 5 star - Just Bikers
Easy search for used for used bikes. Only about 500 motorcycle listed. 4 star - Loot - the motorcycle classifieds
Easy search for used bikes, although adverts don’t have specified data format so are a little messy. Can do data check. 3 star - Auto-User
The database is regularly updated with privately owned and trade vehicles. The company also partners with Warranty Direct so most motorcycles with a month’s free engine and gearbox warranty! 4 star - AutoOutlet
Easy search with specified location. No emails unfortunately. 3 star - Friday Motors - the motorcycle classifieds
Easy search with specified location. No emails unfortunately. 3 star - Ad-Mart UK Motorcycles
The motorcycle classifieds go into brilliant detail and are easy to read. Best of all the service is free. 5 star - WhatYouGot
This service is free, and you tell them the exact specification of what you are looking for and they’ll get back to you with their finds. They seems to be very efficient but I would recommend that this is done in addition to your own search as the company will have a vested interest to find you motorcycle classifieds that they are making a commission off. Also this is not ideal if you are not too sure what you are looking for. 3 star
Local Newspapers
- Every newspaper has classifieds, but start by looking in your local ads so that you wont have far to travel to view
the motorcycle
- Also try and arrange for a local mechanic to check out the motorcycle before you buy it
- Also try local free ads like Loot which usually have loads of motorcycle classifieds
- Always try and buy the newspapers on the day of publication to get in there first and arrange to view the motorcycles that you like as soon as possible
